Travel Safety
NZET are committed to excellence and are always looking at ways to do things better whether it be safety, business practices or improving tour experiences.
As parents ourselves, the team at NZET understand the importance of the safety of your children. NZET tour managers are guided by robust health and safety procedures and best practice guidelines.
As part of NZET’s Qualmark accreditation, our safety procedures and systems are independently assessed each year in order to retain the Qualmark endorsement. Sound safety records for all NZET suppliers endorsed by Qualmark are further guaranteed by the Qualmark®, accreditation process.
NZET policies, processes and guidelines include:
- Emergency procedures.
- Health & Safety plan including hazard identification, RAMS and incident reporting procedures (audited both by a Department of Conservation approved Safety Auditor and as part of NZET’s Qualmark® accreditation).
- Tour Manager best practice guidelines.
- Tour behaviour expectations and guidelines – communication, curfews, rules and impact of non-compliance etc.
- Tour manager communications, meetings and de-briefs
- Environmental and Responsible Tourism policies.
